Damn skippy

We regard wealth as something to be properly used, rather than as something to boast about.  As for poverty, no one need be ashamed to admit it: the real shame is in not taking practical measures to escape from it.

I realized that it's the very last day of the year and that tomorrow we'll be closer to 2030 than 2020. The temporal round-up is a little depressing since than anything, since we haven't been to Mars, narcissistic Billionaires adore magazine covers -- magazines...remember those? -- and the Cowboys did nothing.

The rent for this place went down $25.  Woohoo.  The price of a medium Americano at the local drive-up coffee place went for $4.01 to $4.17.  The donuts at the local supermarket went from 99 cents to $1.29.  And a gallon of petrol is a little above $3.   I took my very first business class this semester and won't use any of the statistical formulas, but a 30% increase in donut tax is way beyond the 2.7% inflation rate.

Xmas is over and I'm still watching Xmas rom-coms because the movies keep showing up on Amazon Prime with a little graphic that says "New Movie!" or "Just added!"  I'm getting pretty good at noticing the same  town that's walkable with no traffic, the same barn that is expansive and clean,  or the same red '56 truck.
