I can't tell you the number of times that I made banana bread. I think I was forced into this recent baking exercise for the simple reason that I had five bananas laying on top of the 'fridge. (Can we say "where is the counter space?), I love bananas, and usually eat them all up, but there I was in a Cowboy Stare-Down.
In college I used The Joy of Cooking as my Bible but now there are a zillion variations on Pinterest or foodie sites. A quickbread is probably my favorite thing to bake. I guess it's too late for me to scream - not about the bread but I totally forgot to get some milk. So what do I have, you ask? Do I have fake powdered stuff or uber heavy cream? I have a small container of ALMOND MILK. As I'm sure you know, almond milk might as well be labelled WATER + 3 almond slivers waved over the water. Granted, I use non-fat organic milk since I think it tastes better. I don't need the calories of half-and-half so Almond Milk will suffice.
The Classic R&B channel on Amazon Prime has damn good music. These songs are older than me, but they remind me of my dad. He would've liked the banana bread.
